Princeton Weaver's Guild
The Princeton Weavers Guild welcomes all who are interested in the fiber crafts.  If
you already know how, or simply want to learn, we encourage you to join us.  Our
members weave, spin, dye, knit, felt, and otherwise manipulate fiber into fabric.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m., usually in
the multi-purpose room of the West Windsor branch of the Mercer County
Library.  The library is located at 333 North Post Rd, Princeton Junction, NJ.

We meet from September through May.  Be sure to check the
Events Page for
information about upcoming meetings, as there are occasionally changes in the
date, time, and/or the location of our meetings.

Text & Textile: An Introduction to Wool-Working for Readers of Greek and
Latin

This DVD, produced by Susan Edmunds, Prudence Jones and Gregory Nagy,
(with contributions from some of our guild members!) is a fascinating look at
cloth-making imagery in classical literature.  It demonstrates spindle spinning and
weaving with a warp-weighted loom.   Susan and her colleagues have produced a
polished video that gives us an engaging look at the history and cultural
significance of our craft.   The DVD is available through the Department of
Classics at Rutgers University.
